RTB, Return To Baja in January 2010. Had a great time last February, and we definatly want to go back. We did it cheap, we had a blast, and we're just starting to think about the return. If you're from the north east Ohio area, or would travel here to get on the truck, and are interested, let me know. The last trip was 7 days in Baja plus travel time. We drove strait through, rotating drivers in 40 hours. The total cost per person for EVERYTHING, food, fuel, lodging, insurance, etc... was $1250.oo. Next time we are planning on taking a full 2 weeks off work, which should give us 10 riding in Baja. We will have available a 12 passenger diesel van pulling a trailer, and a crew cab truck that can pull a trailer. The plan is that if we have 8 to 10 people we will take the van. If more folks want to go, the truck will be added, but at that point we will be able to haul more bikes than people and some would have to meet us out there. We will be taking both quads and bikes. We intend to hop down the coast town to town, and the vehicles would be waiting at the southern point. We are not professional tour operators, we are not doing this for profit, just looking for others that want to get in on the trip. We did it for a very affordable price last time, and I can't predict the price of gas in 18 months, but I think we should be able to pull off this 2 week trip for less than $2000 per person or less.
