Hello All,

I came upon this forum as I was looking for places to ride in the Cuyahoga County area. I find that there are next to none in my area for full off road motorcycles. Does anyone know of any areas in or around my county that are open to us motocross/trail riders?
I would be willing (with some guidance) to advocate in my location, as I know of plenty of riders in my area who travel great distances to have a little fun but actually spend more time hauling their bikes to acceptable riding areas than actually enjoying their bikes.

Hi, sorry no one responded sooner to your question. I actually saw it a few days ago and then got distracted. We have some pretty good clubs in the area doing advocacy work now, I am actually in Geauga county. None of the clubs in the area specifically cater to dirt bikes though. Lake County Off Road is a club for all forms of off road recreation, Jeeps, ATVs, Bikes. The down side is that us northern, particularly north eastern, Ohio riders know it is going to be a long road to getting trails close to us, but we keep working at it, and would welcome some more help. We have also had discussions on the need to start a club conveniently located for Cleveland's riders that live from the center of town west, to compliment LCOR's east side presence. It's probably time to start making it happen. I really wish I could tell you where to ride closer, but I can make a couple of suggestions. As a member of OMTA, either by joining Lake County Off Road, another OMTA club, or helping start a club close to you, you would be welcomed to the events of all our member clubs, giving you more options. LCOR has stuff going on pretty frequently. Plus, belonging to a club gives you more opportunities to "trailer pool" to rides, which helps a lot. Lastly, you could do what I did. Make that dirt bike into a street legal dual sport. The scarcity of trails being what it is in Ohio I started enjoying my bike a lot more when I was doing more riding than trailering, even if some of it is on pavement and back roads.
